Jonny and the Baptists are bringing their The End is Nigh tour to Chapter in Cardiff this summer. The comedy duo hit the scene big time following the controversy of their Stop UKIP YouTube video that went viral in 2014. The show came under fire by the political party and was attempted to be ceased- but naturally, this just increased the demand to see front runner Jonny Donahoe and accomplice Paddy ‘The Baptist’ Gervers lyrically tear down the political party with their sharp tongues, so of course, they added dates to their tour! This begs the question; will the comedy duo’s new tour just be a sad attempt at another political storm? Or will it be a whole new safe contained subject? Drumroll please, this year the boys are spouting their thought on…climate change. The fact that the duo are a little bit individual and sing about their thoughts can make a rather touchy subject quite laughable. Not that climate change is funny, but Jonny accidentally told his 4 year old Niece that climate change is going to end the world and it upset her a bit, so he’s had to make it up to her somehow. A little laughter might make light of the news. So far, everything is looking like the show is in full swing to be as funny as the last, but with a little less scrutiny from the government. Maybe the end isn’t nigh for these two.
