Kurt Tong ‘The Queen, The Chairman And I’ Marking the 20-year anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to Chinese sovereignty from British rule, this looks into the entwined histories of China and the UK, traced through the family history of photographer Tong. John Cyrlas Williams ‘A Brief Flowering’ Williams was a Porthcawl-based painter who was tipped for the top during the 1920s, but fell into a downward spiral in his early 30s and abandoned his artistic career, dying in 1965.
