Following a sell-out headline gig at Madame Jojo’s in London last month, The Gypsy Queens (Universal Music) are currently undertaking their latest challenge – going back to their roots and busking their way across four countries in four days.
The band recently played on Queen Street in Cardiff to a delighted crowd. One audience member described the scene as vibrant. All proceeds from the busk were donated to the The Royal Wales Children’s Hospital. Jasmine, from the Noah’s Ark appeal said “we are so happy the Gypsy Queens have come here to support us…it was absolutely amazing.”
Didi, the band’s lead singer has been very happy with the tour as it has brought back a number of happy memories of busking.
The debut self-titled album, produced by the legendary Larry Klein is due to be released on November 5th.
