Buzz is looking for a new editor to start in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for editing the monthly magazine and maintaining and developing the growing website, and Buzz TV the digital and TV Channel arm of Buzz.

Starting salary: 13k plus bonuses.
This is a broad role and requires a range of skills. The successful candidate will ideally be a trained journalist. You must be very organized, reliable and obsessive when it comes to details. You will have a good understanding of the Buzz tone and style and an eye for good design. You will possess excellent spelling and grammar and the ability to sub-edit copy quickly, concisely and wittily. You need to have a broad understanding of the areas covered by Buzz. You will be able to use InDesign, Photoshop, WordPress and social media. Some HTML/CSS knowledge would also be advantageous.
- Hit deadlines.
- Write witty and entertaining factual articles.
– Plan exciting and informative themes for future issues.
- Organise and manage a team of journalists.
– Work in a team and liaise closely with a sales team and publisher.
- Edit and proof copy ready for production.
- Oversee the content of the entire magazine ready for the design stage.
– Manage and update the buzz website and proficient in social media
