Fuel your budding bookworm’s imagination this Christmas. Cardiff’s sixth Children’s Literature Festival is off to a racing start this December with British Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy set to kick-start the event with the introduction of his new children’s book, Flying Fergus 7: The Wreck It Race. Along with his co-author Joanna Nadin and Illustrator Clare Elsom, the team will take you on a fantastical journey into the world of Flying Fergus, packed with creativity, teamwork and fun. The family-friendly event marks the start of the literature festival programme, which is focused around two weeks from 21st – 29th April in the New Year, celebrating the very best in contemporary children’s books with a varied and exciting programme in both English and Welsh. The events are sure to inspire and entertain children of all ages, promoting a love of reading and great storytelling.
